H.Res. 705: Expressing support for the designation of a “Buy American Week”

H.Res. 705: Expressing support for the designation of a “Buy American Week”. This is the kind of support that America needs!

"Buying America Back " author Alan Uke is currently working to get Congress to declare the week of July 1st to July 7th an official Buy American Week. It won't be passed in time for this July but we are excited to say the resolution Alan Uke helped write has been introduced to Congress and referred to committee!

The High Cost of Cheap Imports

For every dollar Americans spend on Chinese goods, only $0.25 is returned. It doesn't take a math wiz to figure out that eventually we're going to be pretty short on cash.

The American Revolution was also about economic independence from a foreign power. Remember the Boston Tea Party? If everyone were to focus their attention on buying American products and avoiding imports from countries who shun our exports, we could make a real dent in this country's economic problems.

One of those rare books that can change the world

An amazing review of Buying America Back. From the review: "Every once in a while, you'll stumble upon a book that significantly changes the way you see the world. This is one of those books."

"I already expected something interesting after seeing endorsements from two famous people who rarely, if ever, agree on anything: former Green party presidential candidate Ralph Nader and the very conservative congressman (and former House Armed Services Committee Chair) Duncan Hunter. That makes this book's ability to exceed my expectations even more remarkable."

Could Better Labels Shrink the Trade Deficit?
